JOYCE ELIZABETH MATHEW

Joyce Mathew is the Centre Director and Chief Embryologist of the Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) programme at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore.

 

She joined the ART programme at NUH, after having obtained MS from the National University of Singapore in 1993.

 

She has extensive experience in the field of ART. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), blastocyst culture, embryo biopsy for preimplantation genetics, use of laser for assisted hatching, ovarian tissue cryopreservation are all standard practice in the ART program at NUH. Her current focus is on vitrification of embryos and In vitro maturation of oocytes.

 

Joyce has trained many embryologists and has served as consultant to several clinics and provided consulting services in various aspects of embryology such as ICSI, embryo cryopreservation, troubleshooting, laboratory design, laboratory setup etc.

 

Given her experience in clinical embryology, she has been invited as consultant to ART clinics in Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, Korea etc.

 

She was a lecturer and practical instructor for the Masters of Clinical Embryology course at the National University of Singapore from 1997-2001 and ART workshops conducted by National University of Singapore from 1995-2002.

 

She had an ongoing training programme for basic and advanced practical training in ART at NUH from 2006 until October 2010.

Professor Wong is active in postgraduate education in the field of ART and has conducted and participated in numerous courses in the region. He was the first President of the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE) from 2006 to 2008. He also has a longstanding interest in the area of assisted reproduction and has published 47 peer-reviewed and refereed papers.

 

Dr STEPHEN CHEW SIONG LIN

Dr Chew is the Head of the Reproductive Endocrinology Subdivision and is responsible for the daily operations of ART programmes such as IUI, IVF (Oocyte Recovery/Embryo Replacement), and clinical services for male factor infertility and erectile dysfunction. He also provides endoscopic expertise for emergency and elective cases.

 

He is also part of the organising committee for many teaching conferences and workshops. Together with Dr Lan Chomicki and Dr Arnaud Wattiez from Clermont-Ferrand, France, he co-published a book titled "Basic Laparoscopic Techniques and Advanced Endoscopic Suturing: A Practical Guidebook".

 

 

 

 

Dr ANUPRIYA AGARWAL

Senior Consultant

Dr Agarwal is a Senior Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). Her work in reproductive medicine includes the management of infertility, menopausal medicine and adolescent medicine.

 

 

PREEJA SREEDHAR

Senior Embryologist

Preeja Sreedhar is the senior embryologist of the Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) programme at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore.

 

She has been working as an embryologist since 2000, after completing Masters in Clinical Embryology (MCE) from NUS. She is experienced in most ART techniques like IVF, ICSI, AH, embryo/egg freezing etc.     

 

 

 

 

MARY NEE

Senior Embryologist

National University Hospital

 

Mary Nee completed her Masters in Clinical Embryology in 2001 and has been working as a licensed embryologist in ART since 2005.
