Dr Jorum Kirundi
University of Bern, Switzerland
#1305 ART Course for Embryologists
9 Sep - 4 Oct 2014

When I came here, I didn't have a lot of knowlege on the preparation of sperm, IVF and ICIS. We went through the stages of sperm preparation - how you count the numbers, how you dilute it and wash it in preparation for IVF and ICIS. We are more confident now to carry out the various procedures. It was a good opportunity for us to go into the laboratory so that we see it in a real situation, and how things are being done. Our lecturers are very helpful and valuable to us, as they were very hands-on during the laboratory classes.

#1303 ART Course for Embryologists
6 - 31 May 2013

I have acquired new skills by learning eactly what goes on in an IVF. It is not just about the clinician who goes through the IVF but also the embryologist involved, which is the crux of an IVF course. I would recommend all of you who is pursing this course to go ahead with it.

This course is useful for me because I can learn alot from the practical and theory lessons. I hope that CREST will have more events and courses in ART so that we can come back here to study further.

I would like to recommend this course to my colleagues and friends back at Vietnam.

The course highlights and discusses on the various techniques used by other fertility centers and this really helps widen my knowledge in the theory aspect.

If you have the aspiration to be an embryologist, I will definitely recommend you to come for this course.

This course is very good and provides an all-rounded perspective on laboratory work. With various training and practices, I am able to complete ICSI alone.

1st ART Course for Embryologists
8 November - 2 December 2010

This course has been very useful in every aspect, complete and detailed. The staff are excellent and they have been guiding us very patiently, and we have plenty of hands-on training to the point where a clinician like me, can actually do an ICSI. Also, I think it's going to have a profound impact on the work I do back home because I can really improve the laboratory to very good standards.

I'm definitely recommending this course to every clinician.

 Dr Lim Shau Khng

1st ART Course for Clincians
25 October - 4 November 2010

I enrolled in CREST because I received a grant from Merck Serono to complete the Basic Clinician's course and it has been highly beneficial to me.

I've only just started out in the field of IVF and as a new beginner, I chose to go for the CREST course because I wanted to gain an in depth understanding of the fundamentals of IVF. The course was very comprehensive and there is no other training available that is comparable.

The CREST course offers a new perspective on IVF and explores other issues such as ethical and regional issues. CREST, being a regional training centre, allowed me to interact with other clinicians from the region and it was an eye opener for me to gain insights from my colleagues from other parts of Asia.

I would recommend this course to anyone who is starting out in the field of IVF as it would help them understand the reason behind many of the procedures giving them a deeper appreciation for the process. The course explains the rationale and logic behind many of the things we do and would greatly help any clinician.

CREST also offers a different perspective and understanding, giving us a deeper level of appreciation for the Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) and helps us to serve our patients better.

I'm looking forward to enroll in the advanced courses CREST has to offer in the future, as this will further refine my skills as an ART specialist.

We are very pleased to be a part of the Trainees' learning journey.

The most interesting part of the course is the interactive section where we would be discussing many cases and with different treatment and protocols, so we would go into great lengths discussing and to me, this is very helpful.

I think this training course is very useful for us, especially for new comers who are new to the ART field. The basic theories cover every step of the whole procedure of ART as well as some new points! We can bring back these theories and use them in our clinical work.
